Trade Off – Prescription Costs vs. Premium Costs

13 May

Many insurance carriers are looking at exorbitant costs for specialty drugs, specifically new ones, that pertain to diseases such as cancer, MS, etc.  Californians are expected to have to  absorb about 30% of the cost for specialty drugs if it stands right now..With double digit percentages expected in premiums it is one way that is being looked at to offset those costs. The balance or juggling act is a dicey one at best but with regulations you have to offer a model that still sustains for the masses.
